Adult beverage, anyone?
A survey of alcohol drinking habits in the region conducted by the international think tank Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences or FLACSO, found that Latin Americans average 5.5 liters of pure alcohol per person per year (or about 315 cans of beer) — a modest amount when compared to drinking averages in the United States and Europe, where consumers average 9.4 liters and 13 liters per year, respectively.
